The invention provides compositions and methods for inhibiting the interaction of the SARS-CoV-2 S protein and one or more SARS-CoV-2 S protein interacting protein, and methods of use thereof.

An inhibitor of the binding of SARS-CoV-2 S protein to one or more SARS-CoV-2 S protein interacting partner, wherein the SARS-CoV-2 S protein interacting partner is selected from the group consisting of ACE-2, a C-type lectin and TTYH2.
