Device for feeding sheets

A device for feeding sheets to a sheet-processing machine comprising at least one processing mechanism, comprising a feeder head (7) for cyclically separating the sheets from a pile and comprising transporting suckers for transporting the sheets to a belt table (2), the belt table (2) comprising at least one revolving transport belt (14), which is guided over at least two feed rollers (12.1, 12.2, 12.3, 12.4, 12.5),

• a first drive (25) being assigned to at least one feed roller (12.1, 12.2, 12.3, 12.4, 12.5), and a sheet flap, which is connected to a pivotably mounted shaft, being provided between the transporting suckers and the at least one transport belt (14), a second drive (24) being assigned to the shaft pivoting the same,
• comprising a sheet arrival sensor, which is arranged between the belt table (2) and the processing mechanism and generates first signals representing the arrival of the sheets for a sequence of sheets,
• comprising a clock generator, which generates second signals representing the angular position of the at least one processing mechanism, and comprising a controller, which controls the first drive (25) as a function of the second signals, and which controls the second drive (24) as a function of the first and second signals, characterized in that respective clock-based speed profiles are entered into the controller for controlling the first and second drives.
