An apparatus for manipulation and reduction or alignment of closed fractures of wrist bones in children and adults and of forearm in children consisting of:
- a column (1), square rod preferably made out of stainless steel preferably ¼ thick and 30 cm long, with an end A and an end B and with double angle, first angle by the middle and preferably at 120 degrees and the second angle of 30 degrees preferably at 8 cm from the end A and in opposite sense to clockwise, a preferably round rod ¼ inch and 9 cm long preferably welded is joined to such rod in the apex of the second angle, forming a 60 degrees angle with the second angle rod clockwise, this end of the welded rod is end A′, this rod is the backbone of the apparatus;
- backbone (1) of the apparatus contains slots or little wells (1c) 4 mm diameter and 2 mm depth on the side face and along it and the perpendicular joint preferably welded of other 2 rods (1d), parallel between each other ¼ thick round in end A;
- and 1 round rod (1e) ¼ thick is perpendicularly joined in end A′ and preferably welded, forming a T with end A′;
- column (1) perpendicularly joined with the medial face at 4 cm distance from A′ and welded to other rod (1) preferably square 1/r thick and 11 cm long, having on the top face the same slots or little wells (1c), with the same dimensions than column (1);
- a double rectangular die (3) (3b) with double light ¼ and perpendicular between each other to assembly by one of the dies with rod (1b) joined to the backbone on end A′, and the other to other square rod (2), preferably ⅜ thick serrated in T shape, and they together form a ratchet system allowing advance of the second rod (2), inside the die (3), un a single direction converting this second rod T shape into an arrow advancing from half centimeter into half centime that is the distance of each one of the teeth or steps it has in one of its faces and throughout its length;
- a support of the forearm (4) which is a plate 20 cm long 4.5 width and 1.5 thick folded by the middle at 90 degrees and with 8 pairs of holes (4a) to assembly to rods (1d) parallel of end A;
- a basic support point to angle fracture (5) that is a rectangular platform 5 cm×8 cm×3 mm thick (5b), preferably made out of industrial plastic, with polyethylene (5e) throughout the area of one of its rectangular faces 1 cm thick and in the other face by means of a tunnel (5c) 5 mm diameter is joined to rod (5);
- this rod (5) is joined to the medial face of the backbone (1) of the apparatus by means of a square die (5a) wherein the rod (1) enters and perpendicularly to such rod, fixing to the backbone by means of a screw (5f) 3/16 closing the joint die and the screw enters into the slots or little wells (1c) of the side face of the backbone, thus joint is tight;
- a secondary support point to angle fracture or rest of hand or forearm of patient (6) that is a square rod ¼ inch thick, with slots or little wells (6a) in one of its faces, joined to a round stainless steel rod (6) preferably ¼ thick and 9 cm long with which it forms a 90 degrees angle and preferably welded that are assembled with the backbone by means of a square die (6b) located at the apex and with a ¼ light by means of which the backbone (1) enters and it is fixed thereto with a screw (6c) 3/16 entering into the die and it is introduced in the slots or little wells of the side face of the backbone (1c), rod (6d) enters in a roller (6e) made out of industrial plastic and its external face is covered with neolith (6f) 3 mm thick and throughout its length, allowing that this roller spins on the rod (1d);
- a support point to correct angle created at the beginning of the manipulation method with this apparatus that is other roller (7c) with the same characteristics and materials than the secondary support point, assembled with a round stainless steel rod (7) preferably ¼ thick and 9 cm long, this rod is joined to the square rod (6) of the secondary support point by means of a square die (7a) with a ¼ light and it is fixed to it with a screw (7b) 3/16 crossing the die and entering into the slots or little wells (6a) of the square rod (6);
- a support of the hand that is a square preferably stainless steel rod (9) ¼ thick, 5 cm long with little wells or slots (9a) similar to those of the backbone but a square preferably stainless steel plate (9b) 2.5 side and 2 mm thick is joined preferably welded on its upper face and throughout its length in one of its ends, polyethylene (9c) 3 mm is stick on the opposite face of the plate;
- and
- a double stainless steel die (8) with double (8a) (8b) ¼ light perpendicular between each other to join the support of hand (9) on the one side and a square stainless steel rod (10) 174 thick preferably 5 cm long and with slots or little wells (10a) on one of its faces and throughout its length, this rod (10) is also assembled to die (6g) of the medial end of round rod (6d) containing the roller (6e) used as secondary support point or rest of hand or forearm of patient, all rods (1), (1b), (6), (9) and (10) that are assembled are fixed by means of 3/16 screws (3d), (5f), (6c), (6h), (7b), (8c) and (8d) closing the joint die (3b), (5a), (6b), (6g), (7a) and (8) and enter into the slots or little wells (1c), (6a), (9a) and (10a) of the rods with which they are assembled thus is assembly is tight.
