Abstract
A hydration system includes a liquid reservoir, a bottleneck plug, a tube, a hydration valve (e.g., bite valve), and a flow-restricting device (e.g., check valve). The tube comprises a first end for coupling to the liquid reservoir via the plug, a second end having the hydration valve, and the flow-restricting device interposed between the liquid reservoir and the hydration valve. The plug may be inserted into a variety of bottlenecks.

A hydration system, comprising:
- a tube;
- a plug at a first end of the tube, the plug configured to be received within and seal a neck of a bottle, the plug comprising a channel therethrough for the passage of liquid;
- and
- a flow-restricting device to prevent backflow.

A hydration system comprising:
- a liquid reservoir;
- a tube comprising a first end and a second end, the first end comprising a plug and a second end comprising a bite valve, the plug configured to be received within and seal a neck of a bottle;
- a check valve interposed between the bite valve and the liquid reservoir to prevent backflow into the liquid reservoir;
- wherein when suction is applied to the tube, the check valve allows liquid to pass from the liquid reservoir to a user;
- and
- wherein when suction is stopped, the check valve prevents water from passing back through the tube into the liquid reservoir.
