Abstract
An integrated host, and method for manufacture, that provides an edible food product integrating a desiccated liquid. The integrated host allows a church attendee to partake in communion of both bread and wine from a single-use packaged product that avoids spillage of wine or other liquids. The integrated host helps to prevent the transmission of germs or other disease vectors and allows for communion “by viaticum” for those who are unable to attend church services in person.

An integrated food product comprising:
- a substrate configured with a desiccated liquid material disposed thereon.
A method for producing an integrated food product, said method comprising:
- providing a substrate for application of a liquid;
- applying said liquid to said substrate;
- and
- drying said substrate to desiccate said liquid on said substrate.

An integrated host produced by:
- providing a communion host for application of a liquid;
- applying said liquid to said substrate by dropping from a height of up to about 12 inches;
- and
- drying said substrate by heating said substrate to between about 75 degrees Fahrenheit and about 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
