Abstract
Provided is a hedge trimmer including an electric motor, a blade disposed ahead of the electric motor and a body case housing the electric motor. The electric motor includes a stator equipped with coils and an outer rotor which has a circumferential wall portion surrounding an outer circumference of the stator, the circumferential wall portion being equipped with magnets. The outer rotor is rotatably supported by the stator and connected to the blade via a driving transmission mechanism. The blade reciprocates according to the rotation of the outer rotor.

A hedge trimmer comprising an electric motor, a blade disposed ahead of the electric motor and a body case housing the electric motor,
- wherein the electric motor comprises a stator equipped with coils and an outer rotor which has a circumferential wall portion surrounding an outer circumference of the stator, the circumferential wall portion being equipped with magnets,
- wherein the outer rotor is rotatably supported by the stator and connected to the blade via a driving transmission mechanism, and
- wherein the blade reciprocates according to rotation of the outer rotor.
