Heads-up display device and method for manufacturing same

A head-up display apparatus, comprising:

• a display unit configured to emit projection light;
• at least one reflector configured to reflect the projection light;
• a housing, which has an opening portion, and is configured to store the display unit and the reflector therein;
• a cover member configured to cover the opening portion;
• and
• a polarizing plate, which is arranged on a housing inner side of the cover member, and includes a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and a polarizer in the stated order from a cover member side,
• wherein the polarizer has a thickness of from 100 nm to 1,000 nm, and contains an aromatic disazo compound represented by the following formula (1):
• in the formula (1), Q1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, Q2 represents a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group, R1s each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted acetyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted benzoyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group, M represents a counterion, “m” represents an integer of from 0 to 2, and “n” represents an integer of from 0 to 6, provided that at least one of “m” or “n” does not represent 0, a relationship of 1≤m+n≤6 is satisfied, and when “m” represents 2, the respective R1s may be identical to or different from each other,
• wherein the cover member contains a polycarbonate-based resin, and has a thickness of from 10 μm to 1,000 μm, and
• wherein an interlayer adhesive strength between the cover member and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is 39 N/2 mm or more.
