Portable terminal accessory device for holographic projection and user interface

A holographic display assembly for a portable electronic device, the display assembly comprising:

• a projector including a projector screen for generating images;
• a reflective element;
• a touch screen;
• and
• a collapsible hinge system configured to facilitate opening of the holographic display assembly from a collapsed state to an opened state, the collapsible hinge system including a base hinge coupled to the projector wherein the projector screen is substantially perpendicular to the touch screen when the holographic display assembly is in the opened state and wherein the touch screen is substantially parallel to the projector screen when the holographic display assembly is in the collapsed state;
• wherein the reflective element is oriented to reflect light from the images in order to create holographic images perceptible to a user of the portable electronic device when the holographic display assembly is in the opened state.
