Abstract
Some embodiments of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for supporting resource selection modes and switching between a network scheduled operation mode and an autonomous resource selection mode for resource allocation for data transmission in a wireless communication system.
Claims20
A user equipment (UE), comprising:
- processing circuitry configured to:
- based upon an estimation of a pending data transmission of a set of data, switch at least one portion of the set of data to be transmitted via an autonomous resource selection mode from a network scheduled operation mode that is previously configured by the UE or an access node (AN);
- generate a message for the AN that indicates a cancellation of the network scheduled operation mode for the at least one portion of the set of data;
- and
- allocate, for the at least one portion of the set of data, one or more resources for a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) sidelink communication via the autonomous resource selection mode;
- and
- radio front end circuitry coupled with the processing circuitry, configured to transmit the message to the AN.

- processing circuitry configured to:
- based upon a quality analysis of data transmission with respect to a set of data, switch at least one portion of the set of data to be transmitted via a network scheduled operation mode from an autonomous resource selection mode that is previously configured by the UE or an access node (AN);
- and
- generate a message that indicates the switch and a sidelink buffer status report (BSR) based on allocated one or more resources via the autonomous resource selection mode in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication;
- and
- interface circuitry coupled with the processing circuitry, and configured to transmit the message to the AN.

A method, comprising:
- based upon an estimation of a pending data transmission of a set of data, switching at least one portion of the set of data to be transmitted via an autonomous resource selection mode from a network scheduled operation mode that is previously configured by an access node (AN);
- generating a message for the AN that indicates a cancellation of the network scheduled operation mode for the at least one portion of the set of data;
- allocating, for the at least one portion of the set of data, one or more resources in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) sidelink communication via the autonomous resource selection mode;
- and
- transmitting the message to the AN.
