Abstract
A device receives, from a policy control function (PCF) in a wireless network, at least one set of user equipment device (UE)-location based conditional policy rules. The device determines a geographic location of a UE connected to the wireless network and applies one of the set of UE-location based conditional policy rules to traffic associated with the UE based on the determined geographic location.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- receiving, by a device from a policy control function (PCF) in a wireless network, at least one set of user equipment device (UE)-location based conditional policy rules;
- determining, by the device, a geographic location of a UE connected to the wireless network;
- and
- applying one of the set of UE-location based conditional policy rules to traffic associated with the UE based on the determined geographic location.
A network device, comprising:
- at least one communication interface configured to receive, from a policy control function (PCF) in a wireless network, at least one set of user equipment device (UE)-location based conditional policy rules;
- a processor or logic configured to:
- determine a geographic location of a UE connected to the wireless network;
- and
- apply one of the set of UE-location based conditional policy rules to traffic associated with the UE based on the determined geographic location.
A non-transitory storage medium storing instructions executable by a network device with one or more processors, wherein execution of the instructions cause the network device to:
- receive, from a policy control function (PCF) in a wireless network, at least one set of user equipment device (UE)-location based conditional policy rules;
- determine a geographic location of a UE connected to the wireless network;
- and
- apply one of the set of UE-location based conditional policy rules to traffic associated with the UE based on the determined geographic location.
