Abstract
The present disclosure provides methods, apparatus and machine-readable mediums relating to power failure notifications in a communication network. One method performed by a network node comprises, in response to a determination that a power supply unit in a base station has failed, comparing an available power of one or more remaining operational power supply units in the base station with a predicted power usage of the base station to determine a power headroom. The method further comprises determining whether to generate an alert signal based on the power headroom.

A method performed by a first network node in a wireless communication network, the method comprising:
- responsive to a determination that a power supply unit in a base station in the wireless communication network has failed, comparing an available power of one or more remaining operational power supply units in the base station with a predicted power usage of the base station to determine a power headroom;
- and
- determining whether to generate an alert signal based on the power headroom.
A network node in a wireless communication network, the network node comprising processing circuitry and a machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by the processing circuitry, cause the network node to:
- responsive to a determination that a power supply unit in a base station in the wireless communication network has failed, compare an available power of one or more remaining operational power supply units in the base station with a predicted power usage of the base station to determine a power headroom;
- and
- determine whether to generate an alert signal based on the power headroom.
A non-transitory machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by processing circuitry of a network node, cause the network node to:
- responsive to a determination that a power supply unit in a base station has failed, compare an available power of one or more remaining operational power supply units in the base station with a predicted power usage of the base station to determine a power headroom;
- and
- determine whether to generate an alert signal based on the power headroom.
