Abstract

One embodiment of the present invention provides a highly reliable display device. In particular, a display device to which a signal or a power supply potential can be supplied stably is provided. Further, a bendable display device to which a signal or a power supply potential can be supplied stably is provided. The display device includes, over a flexible substrate, a display portion, a plurality of connection terminals to which a signal from an outside can be input, and a plurality of wirings. One of the plurality of wirings electrically connects one of the plurality of connection terminals to the display portion. The one of the plurality of wirings includes a first portion including a plurality of separate lines and a second portion in which the plurality of lines converge.

Dependent claims

An electronic device comprising:

a display device, the display device comprising:
a display portion comprising a plurality of gate driver circuits and a pixel portion;
and
a protruding portion protruding from part of a short-side of the display portion,
wherein the protruding portion comprises a connection terminal and a curved portion,
wherein, in a longitudinal direction of the display portion, the plurality of gate driver circuits are provided with the pixel portion therebetween,
wherein the curved portion is bent and the protruding portion is folded back to an opposite side of the display portion, whereby an entire surface of the connection terminal overlaps a back side of the display portion,
wherein, in a short-side direction of the display portion, each of the two end portions of a short-side of the protruding portion is provided farther inside than end portions of the short-side of the display portion,
wherein, in the case where the display device is disposed so that the protruding portion is located on the left side of the display portion without folding the protruding portion back, a plurality of wirings that pass through the curved portion is provided from each of an upper portion, a middle portion, and a lower portion of the short-side of the display portion,
wherein the plurality of wirings is provided so as to come together from each of the upper portion, the middle portion, and the lower portion of the short-side of the display portion towards the protruding portion,
wherein the display device is incorporated into the electronic device with the curved portion folded back,
wherein the plurality of wirings has a region comprising an opening and a branching portion where the plurality of wirings branches into multiple wirings with the opening therebetween, and
wherein the curved portion is curved so as to overlap the branching portion.

wherein the plurality of wirings is provided so as to come together from each of the upper portion, the middle portion, and the lower portion of the short-side of the display portion towards the protruding portion,

wherein a wiring width including the opening of the branching portion of the plurality of wirings is wider than the wiring width of portions other than the branching portion, and
wherein the curved portion is curved so as to overlap the branching portion.
