Intelligent lock credential validation

A method comprising:

• receiving, by a cloud-based system, a command from an interface, wherein the command is in a standard protocol;
• converting, by the cloud-based system, the command from the standard protocol into a plurality of different protocols, comprising at least a protocol of a first access control device, and a protocol of a second access control device;
• and
• communicating, by the cloud-based system, the command to the first access control device in the protocol of the first access control device, and to the second access control device in the protocol of the second access control device.

A cloud-based computing system comprising:

• one or more processing devices, one or more tangible computer-readable memory devices, and one or more tangible computer-readable data storage devices;
• program instructions, stored on the one or more data storage devices for execution by the one or more processing devices using the one or more memory devices, for receiving a command from an interface, wherein the command is in a standard protocol;
• program instructions, stored on the one or more data storage devices for execution by the one or more processing devices using the one or more memory devices, for converting, by the cloud-based system, the command from the standard protocol into a plurality of different protocols, comprising at least a protocol of a first access control device, and a protocol of a second access control device;
• and
• program instructions, stored on the one or more data storage devices for execution by the one or more processing devices using the one or more memory devices, for communicating, by the cloud-based system, the command to the first access control device in the protocol of the first access control device, and to the second access control device in the protocol of the second access control device.
