Action determination using recommendations based on prediction of sensor-based systems

A method, comprising:

• applying a set of environmental constraints and a first set of values for a set of parameters for a target device to a machine learning model to predict a first performance value of the target device;
• identifying candidate sets of values for the set of parameters that are within a threshold range from the first set of values in a multi-dimensional space;
• for each particular candidate set of values of the candidate sets of values:
• applying the set of environmental constraints and the particular candidate set of values to the machine learning model to predict a performance value of the target device corresponding to the particular candidate set of values;
• identifying a subset of the candidate sets of values with corresponding performance values that meet a performance criteria;
• and
• recommending, for the parameters, the subset of the candidate sets of values with corresponding performance values that meet the performance criteria.

A system, comprising:

• a prediction module configured to:
• apply a set of environmental constraints and a first set of values for a set of parameters for a target device to a machine learning model to predict a first performance value of the target device;
• identify candidate sets of values for the set of parameters that are within a threshold range from the first set of values in a multi-dimensional space;
• and
• for each particular candidate set of values of the candidate sets of values:
• apply the set of environmental constraints and the particular candidate set of values to the machine learning model to predict a performance value of the target device corresponding to the particular candidate set of values;
• and
• a recommendation module configured to:
• identify a subset of the candidate sets of values with corresponding performance values that meet a performance criteria;
• and
• recommend, for the subset of parameters, the subset of the candidate sets of values with corresponding performance values that meet the performance criteria
