Unmanned aerial vehicle grouping

A system, comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• memory including a plurality of computer-executable components that are executable by the one or more processors to perform a plurality of actions, the plurality of actions comprising:
• receiving, by a first unmanned aerial vehicle that includes a first transceiver, a communication from a base station;
• receiving, by the first unmanned aerial vehicle and from a second unmanned aerial vehicle that includes a second transceiver, data indicating that the second unmanned aerial vehicle received the communication from the base station;
• in response to receiving the data indicating that the second unmanned aerial vehicle received the communication from the base station, determining, by the first unmanned aerial vehicle, first signal parameters of the communication;
• receiving, by the first unmanned aerial vehicle and from the second unmanned aerial vehicle, second signal parameters of the communication;
• and
• based on the first signal parameters and the second signal parameters, selecting, by the first unmanned aerial vehicle, the first unmanned aerial vehicle or the second unmanned aerial vehicle to transmit a reply communication to the base station.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media of a computing device storing computer-executable instructions that upon execution cause one or more processors to perform acts comprising:

• receiving, by a first unmanned aerial vehicle that includes a first transceiver, a communication from a base station;
• receiving, by the first unmanned aerial vehicle and from a second unmanned aerial vehicle that includes a second transceiver, data indicating that the second unmanned aerial vehicle received the communication from the base station;
• in response to receiving the data indicating that the second unmanned aerial vehicle received the communication from the base station, determining, by the first unmanned aerial vehicle, first signal parameters of the communication;
• receiving, by the first unmanned aerial vehicle and from the second unmanned aerial vehicle, second signal parameters of the communication;
• and
• based on the first signal parameters and the second signal parameters, selecting, by the first unmanned aerial vehicle, the first unmanned aerial vehicle or the second unmanned aerial vehicle to transmit a reply communication to the base station.
