Abstract
A backlight module is provided. The backlight module is used for a display panel having a camera region. The backlight module may be operated in display mode or camera mode. The backlight module includes multiple light emitting units. When the backlight module is operating in the display mode, the light emitting units are all turned on. When the backlight module is operating in the camera mode, a portion of the light emitting units corresponding to the camera region of the display panel is turned off, and another portion of the light emitting units is turned on.
Claims20
A backlight module, used for a display panel having a camera region and operating in a display mode or a camera mode, the backlight module comprising:
- a plurality of light emitting units, wherein
- when the backlight module is operating in the display mode, the light emitting units are all turned on, and when the backlight module is operating in the camera mode, a portion of the light emitting units corresponding to the camera region of the display panel is turned off, and another portion of the light emitting units is turned on.
A display device, comprising:
- a display panel, having a camera region;
- a backlight module, wherein the display panel is disposed on the backlight module, the backlight module operates in a display mode or a camera mode, and the backlight module comprises:
- a plurality of light emitting units, wherein
- when the backlight module is operating in the display mode, the light emitting units are all turned on, and when the backlight module is operating in the camera mode, a portion of the light emitting units corresponding to the camera region of the display panel is turned off, and another portion of the light emitting units is turned on;
- and
- a camera, disposed under the backlight module and corresponding to the camera region.
