Abstract
An adjustable beam may include an elongate member extending between a first end and a second end, a first connector pivotably coupled to the first end, and a second connector pivotably coupled to the second end. The first and second connectors each are configured to be releasably coupled to neighboring supporting beams and other adjustable beams.

An adjustable beam, comprising:
- an elongate member extending between a first end and a second end;
- a first connector coupled to the first end;
- and
- a second connector coupled to the second end,
- wherein the first and second connectors each are configured to be releasably coupled to neighboring supporting beams,
- wherein the adjustable beam has a surface configured to receive at least a first or second connector of another adjustable beam, such that when the adjustable beam and the other adjustable beam are coupled together, top surfaces of the adjustable beam and the other adjustable beam are disposed along substantially a same plane as each other, and
- wherein the top surface of the adjustable beam is free of overlap with the other adjustable beam, and the top surface of the other adjustable beam is free of overlap with the adjustable beam.

An adjustable beam, comprising:
- an elongate member extending between a first end and a second end;
- a first connector coupled to the first end;
- and
- a second connector coupled to the second end,
- wherein the first and second connectors each are configured to be releasably coupled to neighboring supporting beams, and
- wherein the elongate member has upper and lower ends, and a flange extending outward from a side surface of the elongate member, wherein the flange is positioned beneath the upper end of the elongate member and is configured to receive a portion of another beam.
