Reinforced removable pluggable module pull tabs

A method of removing a pluggable module from a cage, the method comprising:

• applying a force to a handle of a pull tab, the pull tab having a first attachment arm having a distal end coupled to the pluggable module;
• transmitting a majority of the force through a reinforcement line at least partially embedded in the pull tab to the pluggable module, the majority of the force bypassing the first attachment arm;
• and
• transmitting the force to the pluggable module coupled to the distal end so as to withdraw the pluggable module from the cage.

A pull tab comprising:

• a handle;
• a first attachment arm extending from the handle;
• a first attachment mechanism disposed at a distal end of the first attachment arm, wherein the first attachment mechanism is configured to couple to a pluggable module;
• and
• a reinforcement line extending from the first attachment mechanism to the handle.
