Abstract
The present invention relates to compositions comprising an inactivated Mycobacterium or an immunogenic fraction thereof, for use in the prevention of an infection in a subject, wherein the infection is selected from the group consisting of a protozoan parasitic infection and a bacterial infection, with the proviso that the infection is not caused by a Mycobacterium.

A method for the prevention of an infection in a subject, wherein the infection is selected from the group consisting of a protozoan parasitic infection and a bacterial infection with the proviso that the infection is not caused by a Mycobacterium, that comprises administering to a subject in need thereof a composition comprising an inactivated Mycobacterium bovis or a fraction thereof.
