Abstract
Provided herein are compositions and methods for the treatment of allergy, such as food allergy. Also provided herein are compositions and methods for modulating an immune response associated with allergy and/or inducing immune tolerance or desensitization to an allergy, such as a food allergy.
Claims27
A method of treating a food allergy, comprising
- administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising three or more purified bacterial strains of species selected from the group consisting of Clostridium bolteae, Anaerotruncus colihominis, Sellimonas intestinales, Clostridium symbiosum, Blautia producta, Dorea longicatena, Erysipelotrichaceae bacterium, and Subdolinogranulum spp;
- or a composition comprising three or more purified bacterial strains of species selected from the group consisting of Clostridium indolis, Anaerostipes caccae, Lachnospiraceae bacterium, and Clostridium symbiosum;
- or a composition comprising three or more purified bacterial strains of species selected from the group consisting of Clostridium hathewayi, Clostridium bolteae, Sellimonas intestinalis, and Clostridium species.

A method of treating a food allergy, comprising
- administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising three or more purified bacterial strains that comprise 16S rDNA sequences having at least 97% sequence identity with nucleic acid sequences selected from SEQ ID NO:
