The present invention is generally directed to substantially pure cannabidiol, stable cannabinoid pharmaceutical formulations, and methods of their use.

A method of treating a disease or disorder caused by aberrant expression of chromosome 15q11-q13, comprising administering to a subject in need of treatment a composition comprising cannabidiol, wherein the cannabidiol has a purity of greater than 98% w/w, and wherein the dose of the cannabidiol is about 10 to about 40 milligrams of cannabidiol per kilogram body weight of the subject per day.
A method of treating a disease or disorder in a subject, comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising cannabidiol, wherein the cannabidiol has a purity of greater than 98% w/w, and wherein the disease or disorder is characterized by absence seizures.
