Abstract
An apparatus for measuring an electrocardiogram includes a signal detector, a signal converter, and a processor. The apparatus detects a particular component from an electrocardiogram digital signal and generates measurement data for an electrocardiogram digital signal by applying different conversion gains to an interval including the particular component and a remaining interval.

An apparatus for measuring an electrocardiogram, the apparatus comprising:
- a signal detector outputting an electrocardiogram analog signal by detecting an electrical signal from the heart of an object;
- a signal converter receiving the electrocardiogram analog signal and converting the electrocardiogram analog signal into an electrocardiogram digital signal;
- a signal processing unit detecting a particular component by analyzing components of the electrocardiogram digital signal,
- determining an interval including the particular component, and
- generating measurement data for the electrocardiogram digital signal by applying different conversion gains to a signal in the interval and a signal in a remaining interval excluding the interval;
- a processor storing, in a memory, the electrocardiogram digital signal or the measurement data for the electrocardiogram digital signal or transmitting, to an external electronic device, the electrocardiogram digital signal or the measurement data for the electrocardiogram digital signal;
- and
- a power supply unit supplying power to the signal detector, the signal converter, the signal processing unit, the memory, and the processor.

A method of operation of an apparatus for measuring an electrocardiogram, the method comprising:
- by the apparatus, outputting an electrocardiogram analog signal by analyzing an electrical signal from the heart of an object;
- by the apparatus, receiving the electrocardiogram analog signal and converting the electrocardiogram analog signal into an electrocardiogram digital signal;
- by the apparatus, detecting a particular component by analyzing components of the electrocardiogram digital signal, detecting an interval corresponding to the particular component, and generating measurement data for the electrocardiogram digital signal by applying different conversion gains to a signal in the interval and a signal in a remaining interval excluding the interval, respectively;
- and
- by apparatus, storing, in a memory, the electrocardiogram digital signal or the measurement data for the electrocardiogram digital signal or transmitting, to an external electronic device, the electrocardiogram digital signal or the measurement data for the electrocardiogram digital signal.
