Claims20
A device, comprising:
- an access sheath comprising a tubular member;
- and
- an inflatable member disposed on a distal end of the access sheath, the inflatable member configured to contact a tissue in an inflated state and to expose a target are of the tissue, while maintaining a seal around the target area, when a portion of the inflatable member covering the target area is attached.
A device, comprising:
- an access sheath comprising a tubular member;
- an inflatable member disposed on a distal end of the access sheath;
- and
- a resection device configured for insertion through the access sheath and into an expandable cavity defined by the inflatable member;
- the inflatable member configured to cover a contour of a tissue surface in an inflated state and to expose a target area on the tissue surface, while maintaining a seal around the target area, when a portion of the inflatable member covering the target area is ruptured by the resection device.

A method, comprising:
- inserting an access sheath having an inflatable member into a body cavity, the inflatable member disposed on a distal end of the access sheath;
- inflating the inflatable member within the body cavity;
- breaching the inflatable member to create a sealed opening adjacent to a target tissue within the body cavity;
- and
- treating the target tissue through the sealed opening in the inflatable member.
