Control system with occupancy sensing

A lighting system comprising:

• a plurality of lighting fixtures;
• a plurality of driver circuits, each of the plurality of driver circuits operatively coupled to a respective one of the plurality of lighting fixtures;
• a plurality of occupancy sensors;
• load control circuitry communicatively couplable to each of the plurality of driver circuits and to each of the plurality of occupancy sensors, the load control circuitry to:
• responsive to receipt of an input indicative of a presence of an occupant from at least one of the plurality of occupancy sensors, communicate a first command to selectively cause one or more of the plurality of driver circuits to increase the luminous output of their respective lighting fixture;
• responsive to an absence of the input indicative of a presence of an occupant from the at least one of the plurality of occupancy sensors, communicate a second command to selectively cause the one or more of the plurality of driver circuits to decrease the luminous output of their respective lighting fixture.

A load controller, comprising:

• first communications interface circuitry to communicate using a first communication protocol with:
• each of a plurality of driver circuits, each of the plurality of driver circuits operatively coupled to a respective one of a plurality of lighting fixtures that form a linear lighting fixture;
• and
• each of a plurality of occupancy sensors disposed along at least a portion of a length of the linear lighting fixture;
• second communications interface circuitry to communicate with an external user device using a second communication protocol different from the first communication protocol;
• load control circuitry communicatively coupled to the first communications interface circuitry, the load control circuitry to:
• receive from each of a plurality of occupancy sensors via the first communications interface circuitry, data indicative of a presence of an occupant proximate the respective occupancy sensor;
• responsive to receipt of an input indicative of the presence of the occupant from one or more of the plurality of occupancy sensors, communicate, via the first communications interface circuitry, a first command to selectively cause one or more of a plurality of driver circuits coupled to respective ones of the plurality of lighting fixtures to increase the luminous output of their respective lighting fixture;
• and
• responsive to an absence of an input indicative of the presence of the occupant from the one or more of the plurality of occupancy sensors, communicate, via the first communications interface circuitry, a second command to selectively cause the one or more of the plurality of driver circuits to decrease the luminous output of their respective lighting fixture.
