The bonus or promotion generator may provide an output to existing audio and/or visual display devices of the location for announcing bonuses or promotions. ## Claims ### Claim at position 1 -18. (canceled) ### Claim 19 A system for providing a bonus comprising: at least one sensor configured to detect the presence of at least one person, said at least one sensor located in a designated location; a bonus system server comprising a processor, at least one non-transitory computer readable medium storing machine readable instructions to generate a bonus, and at least one database of bonus information; a first communication link between said at least one sensor and said bonus system server, an output of said at least one sensor being provided to said bonus system server via said first communication link; at least one second communication link between said bonus system server and at least one existing system at said location; said bonus system server being configured to generate a bonus, at least one characteristic of said bonus dependent upon a rate of movement of said at least one person in said location as determined by said output of said least one sensor; and information regarding said generated bonus is provided to said at least one existing system via said at least one second communication link. ### Claim 20 (depends on 19) The system in accordance with claim 19 wherein said at least one database defines a plurality of different bonus amounts based upon different rates of movement. ### Claim 21 (depends on 19) The system in accordance with claim 19 wherein said at least one characteristic comprises at least one of a type of said bonus, an amount of said bonus, a time duration of said bonus and a destination of said bonus. ### Claim 22 (depends on 21) The system in accordance with claim 21 wherein bonus comprises a progressive bonus. ### Claim 23 (depends on 19) The system in accordance with claim 19 wherein said at least one existing system comprises a system which includes at least one video display. ### Claim 24 (depends on 19) The system in accordance with claim 19 wherein said at least one existing system comprises a gaming system comprising a plurality of gaming machines. ### Claim 25 (depends on 19) The system in accordance with claim 19 wherein said at least one existing system comprises a table gaming system comprising a plurality of table games. ### Claim 26 (depends on 19) The system in accordance with claim 19 wherein said progressive bonus comprises a randomly generated trigger based on the number of persons above a predetermined threshold causing said progressive bonus to be awarded at a designated location. ### Claim 27 A method of providing a bonus comprising: providing at least one sensor configured to detect the presence of at least one person in a first area of a plurality of areas at a location; transmitting an output of said at least one sensor through a network to a bonus generator comprising at least one server that includes non-transitory machine readable instructions for generating a bonus and a database that includes bonus configuration data; determining a rate of movement of said at least one person in said first area; generating at said at least one server a bonus award, said bonus award having at least one characteristic which is dependent upon said rate of movement; and transmitting from the server via the network information regarding said bonus award to at least one display device of said location. ### Claim 28 (depends on 26) The method in accordance with claim 26 wherein said location comprises a casino. ### Claim 29 (depends on 26) The method in accordance with claim 26 wherein said at least one display comprises a video display or an audio device. ### Claim 30 (depends on 26) The method in accordance with claim 26 wherein said at least one sensor is selected from the group consisting of: a thermal sensor, a wireless beam sensor, a proximity sensor, and an RFID sensor. ### Claim 31 (depends on 26) The method in accordance with claim 26 wherein said at least one characteristic comprises at least one of a type of said bonus, an amount of said bonus, a time duration of said bonus and a destination of said bonus. ### Claim 32 (depends on 26) The method in accordance with claim 26 further comprising the step of analyzing information from said at least one sensor to generate said information regarding said rate of movement. ### Claim 33 (depends on 26) The method in accordance with claim 26 wherein said bonus award is only redeemable at a second area of said location. ### Claim 34 (depends on 26) The method in accordance with claim 26 wherein said bonus award comprises a promotion. ### Claim 35 (depends on 26) The method in accordance with claim 26 wherein said bonus award comprises a progressive award.
