## Abstract

The present disclosure is directed in part to methods of treating fibrosis, e.g., hepatic fibrosis and/or intestinal fibrosis, comprising administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of a disclosed compound.

## Claims

### Claim at position 1

-17. (canceled)

### Claim 18

A method of treating hepatic fibrosis, the method comprising administering to a patient in need thereof, a therapeutically effective amount of 2-methoxy-3-(4′-aminophenyl) propionic acid, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt and/or a stereoisomer thereof.

### Claim 19

A method of treating hepatic fibrosis, the method comprising administering to a patient in need thereof, a pharmaceutical preparation comprising a therapeutically effective amount of 2-methoxy-3-(4′-aminophenyl) propionic acid, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt and/or a stereoisomer thereof.

### Claim 20 (depends on 19)

The method of claim 19, wherein the pharmaceutical preparation is administered orally.

### Claim 21 (depends on 19)

The method of claim 19, wherein the patient is human.

### Claim 22 (depends on 19)

The method of claim 19, wherein the 2-methoxy-3-(4′-aminophenyl)propionic acid is (S)-2-methoxy-3-(4′-aminophenyl)propionic acid, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

### Claim 23 (depends on 18)

The method of claim 18, wherein the 2-methoxy-3-(4′-aminophenyl)propionic acid is (S)-2-methoxy-3-(4′-aminophenyl)propionic acid, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

### Claim 24 (depends on 18)

The method of claim 18, wherein the administering is orally.

### Claim 25 (depends on 18)

The method of claim 18, wherein the patient is human.
