Abstract
A system and method for analyzing in-page behavior. A method includes recording sessions of users browsing a website, wherein a session is time-ordered collection of a user's interactions with one or more webpages belonging to the website; analyzing recorded sessions to generate session insights, wherein the session insights are based in part on user experience factors, wherein each user experience factor relates to behavior of a user within each webpage visited during a session; and reporting the generated experience insights.
Claims26
A method for analyzing in-page behavior of a user interacting with a website, the method being performed by an analytic server, comprising:
- obtaining, by the analytic server, recorded sessions of users browsing the website, wherein a session is a time-ordered collection of a user's entire, combined, and substantially uninterrupted action events over each of at least one webpage belonging to the website that is interacted with by the user, each of the at least one webpage of the website having been displayed at a device of the user when the user was interacting with the at least one webpage, and which make up and specify the user's interactions with the at least one webpage belonging to the website;
- analyzing, by the analytic server, the recorded sessions to determine user experience factors, wherein each user experience factor relates to behavior of a user within each webpage visited during a session, each user experience factor describing an event that hinders the user from reaching an objective of the user within the at least one webpage;
- analyzing, by the analytic server, the user experience factors within each session to determine session insights, each session insight being based on a set of rules to identify factors negatively impacting the user when interacting with the at least one webpage;
- and
- reporting the session insights.
A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon instructions for causing a processing circuitry of an analytic server to execute a process for analyzing in-page behavior of a user interacting with a website, the process comprising:
- obtaining, by the analytic server, recorded sessions of users browsing the website, wherein a session is a time-ordered collection of a user's entire, combined, and substantially uninterrupted action events over each of at least one webpage belonging to the website that is interacted with by the user, each of the at least one webpage of the website having been displayed at a device of the user when the user was interacting with the at least one webpage, and which make up and specify the user's interactions with the at least one webpage belonging to the website;
- analyzing, by the analytic server, the recorded sessions to determine user experience factors, wherein each user experience factor relates to behavior of a user within each webpage visited during a session, each user experience factor describing an event that hinders the user from reaching an objective of the user within the at least one webpage;
- analyzing, by the analytic server, the user experience factors within each session to determine session insights, each session insight being based on a set of rules to identify factors negatively impacting the user when interacting with the at least one webpage;
- and
- reporting the session insights.
A system of an analytic server for analyzing in-page behavior, comprising:
- a processing circuitry;
- and
- a memory, the memory containing instructions that, when executed by the processing circuitry, configure the system to:
- obtain, by the analytic server, recorded sessions of users browsing a website, wherein a session is a time-ordered collection of a user's entire, combined, and substantially uninterrupted action events over each of at least one webpage belonging to the website that is interacted with by the user, each of the at least one webpage of the website having been displayed at a device of the user when the user was interacting with the at least one webpage, and which make up and specify the user's interactions with the at least one webpage belonging to the website;
- analyze the recorded sessions to determine user experience factors, wherein each user experience factor relates to behavior of a user within each webpage visited during a session, each user experience factor describing an event that hinders the user from reaching an objective of the user within the at least one webpage;
- analyze the user experience factors within each session to determine session insights, each session insight being based on a set of rules to identify factors negatively impacting the user when interacting with the at least one webpage;
- and
- report the session insights.
