Electronic device and method for diagnosing battery thereof

A method for diagnosing a battery of an electronic device, comprising:

• monitoring a charge state of the battery;
• if the charge state of the battery reaches a first designated state, identifying a time taken to change from the first designated state to a second designated state;
• and
• determining whether the battery is abnormal, based at least in part on the identified time.

An electronic device comprising:

• a battery;
• a charging module operatively connected with the battery, and configured to control a charge of the battery;
• and
• a processor operatively connected with the charging module,
• wherein the processor is configured to:
• monitor a charge state of the battery,
• identify, if the charge state of the battery reaches a first designated state, a time taken to change from the first designated state to a second designated state, and
• determine whether the battery is abnormal, based at least in part on the identified time.
