Abstract
A method monitors gases produced in an insulating medium circuit. The insulating medium circuit is in contact with a transition resistor of an on-load tap-changer. The method includes: ascertaining a time profile of a resistor temperature of the transition resistor during a loading time period; and determining at least one characteristic value for characterizing the gases produced based upon the time profile of the resistor temperature.
Claims14
A method for monitoring gases produced in an insulating medium circuit, wherein the insulating medium circuit is in contact with a transition resistor of an on-load tap-changer, the method comprising:
- ascertaining a time profile of a resistor temperature of the transition resistor during a loading time period;
- and
- determining at least one characteristic value for characterizing the gases produced based upon the time profile of the resistor temperature.
An on-load tap-changer having a transition resistor, the on-load tap-changer being configured in such a way that the transition resistor is in contact with an insulating medium circuit during operation of the on-load tap-changer, the on-load tap-changer having an evaluator configured to monitoring gases produced in the insulating medium circuit, the evaluator being configured:
- to ascertain a profile of a resistor temperature of the transition resistor during a loading time period, and
- to determine at least one characteristic value for characterizing the gases produced from the time profile of the resistor temperature.
