Abstract
Various aspects of a light emitting apparatus include a substrate having at least one angled portion. Some aspects of the light emitting apparatus include at least one light emitting device arranged on the substrate. Some aspects of the light emitting apparatus include a plurality of conductors arranged on the substrate. In some aspects of the light emitting apparatus, the conductors are electrically coupled to the at least one light emitting device.

A flip-chip light emitting device comprising:
- a flexible substrate having a conductive layer disposed thereon;
- a plurality of semiconductor layers disposed above the conductive layer;
- a pair of electrodes disposed between the flexible substrate and the plurality of semiconductor layers and coupling the plurality of semiconductor layers to the conductive layer, respectively;
- and
- at least one side extending from the flexible substrate and having a reflective surface that has a greater reflectivity than the flexible substrate.

- a housing;
- a flexible substrate coupled to the housing and having a conductive layer disposed thereon;
- a plurality of semiconductor layers disposed above the conductive layer;
