A double-stranded ribonucleic acid (dsRNA) that inhibits expression of a human angiopoietin-like protein 8 (ANGPTL8) gene by targeting a target sequence on an RNA transcript of the ANGPTL8 gene, wherein the dsRNA comprises a sense strand comprising a sense sequence, and an antisense strand comprising an antisense sequence, and wherein the sense sequence is at least 90% identical to the target sequence.
