Abstract
According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for foam assisted drying of nano- and microfibrillated cellulose, which is easily up-scalable and cost-efficient.

A method for drying nano- or microfibrillated cellulose comprising at least the steps of:
- mixing together unmodified or modified nano- or microfibrillated cellulose and a foaming agent and foaming the mixture, and
- drying the foamed mixture.
