Method for controlling a chemical reaction and apparatus for carrying out said method

A method for producing kinetically controlled products comprising:

• subjecting at least one reactant present in a liquid phase to a pressure change from a minimum pressure without causing cavitation in the at least one reactant;
• subjecting the at least one reactant to at least one pressure reduction followed by at least one pressure increase, wherein the at least one pressure decrease does not reach cavitation pressure;
• subjecting the at least one reactant to a mechanical vibration, at least one soundwave and/or at least one electromagnetic wave;
• and
• producing at least one kinetically controlled product.

An apparatus for providing kinetically controlled products comprising:

• at least one first reaction chamber with a variable reaction chamber volume whereby the reaction chamber introduces an electrochemical potential to a reaction mixture;
• a drive for rotating the reaction chamber about a rotational axis;
• an access for adding reaction mixture to the reaction chamber;
• at least one filling device, which is adjusted to control pressure inside the reaction chamber such that pressure within the reaction chamber does not fall below cavitation pressure for the reaction mixture and cavitation does not occur with respect to the reaction mixture.
