Abstract
The present invention relates to compositions comprising dried chicory root and pea cell wall fibers for reducing, preventing and/or treating dysentery in animals, poultry and humans. The invention also relates to the use of said compositions in feed and food.

A composition comprising dried chicory root and pea cell wall fibers for use in reducing, treating or preventing infections with pathogenic Brachyspira ssp. in animals and poultry and wherein said composition is administered in an amount of between 0.1 to 10% by weight of the total dry matter feed of the animal or poultry.
