As described below, the present invention features compositions and methods for treating brain and/or behavioral health disorders and their associated symptoms.

A therapeutic combination for the treatment of an anxiety disorder or a neurodevelopmental disorder, the therapeutic combination comprising a first agent selected from the group consisting of anipamil, devapamil, falipamil, gallopamil, tiapamil, and verapamil and a second agent that is telmisartan or candesartan, wherein when the first agent is verapamil and the second agent is telmisartan, the mass ratio of verapamil to the telmisartan is from about 2:1 to about 6:1.
A therapeutic combination for the treatment of an anxiety disorder or a neurodevelopmental disorder, the therapeutic combination comprising a first agent selected from the group consisting of anipamil, devapamil, falipamil, gallopamil, tiapamil, and verapamil and a second agent that is telmisartan or candesartan, wherein when the first agent is verapamil, the combination comprises between about 120 mg and about 720 mg of verapamil, and when the second agent is telmisartan, the combination comprises between about 40 mg and about 180 mg of telmisartan.
A therapeutic combination for the treatment of an anxiety disorder or a neurodevelopmental disorder, the therapeutic combination comprising an effective amount of verapamil and telmisartan, wherein the mass ratio of verapamil to telmisartan is about 3:1, and/or wherein the effective amount of verapamil is between about 120 mg and about 720 mg and the effective amount of the telmisartan is between about 40 mg and about 180 mg.
