System, device and method for detecting, measuring and monitoring chemical concentrations or analytes in insect colonies and agricultural environments.

A method of detecting, measuring or monitoring at least one chemical concentration or analyte in agriculture environments:
- monitoring the agriculture environments for the at least one chemical concentration or analyte using at least one sensor located within the agriculture environment, the at least one sensor operative to generate data indicative of the at least one chemical concentration or analyte and communicate the data to an associated data processing device;
- and
- wherein the at least one sensor further comprises of at least one nano-material;
- wherein the at least one sensor further comprises of at least one biocompatible material;
- wherein the at least one sensor includes a printed element;
- wherein the at least one sensor further determines at least one of a location or operating status of the sensor;

A monitoring system for monitoring at least one chemical concentration or analyte or characteristic of an agriculture environment:
- a receiver;
- a first sensor including a detector component operative to generate data corresponding to at least one chemical concentration or analyte, communication circuitry and a power source operatively coupled to the detector component and the communication circuitry for supplying power thereto, the communication circuitry configured to transmit data generated by the detector component to the receiver;
- and
- a second sensor including a detector component operative to generate corresponding to at least one characteristic, communication circuitry and a power source operatively coupled to the detector component and the communication circuitry for supplying power thereto, the communication circuitry configured to transmit data generated by the detector component to the receiver;
- wherein the first sensor is configured to detect, measure or monitor one or more chemicals or analytes in an agriculture environment;
- wherein the second sensor is configured to detect, measure or monitor one or more characteristics in an agriculture environment.
