Interference randomization method and apparatus

A network device, comprising:

• a transmitter, configured to send interference randomization configuration information to a terminal device, wherein
• the interference randomization configuration information comprises configuration information in at least two time periods,
• receiving modes of a reference signal in the at least two time periods are different, and
• each of the receiving modes indicates a manner in which the reference signal is sent to the terminal device on a group of beams, wherein
• the transmitter is further configured to send the reference signal based on the interference randomization configuration information.

An interference randomization method, comprising:

• receiving, by a terminal device, interference randomization configuration information, wherein
• the interference randomization configuration information comprises configuration information in at least two time periods,
• receiving modes of a reference signal in the at least two time periods are different, and
• each of the receiving modes indicates a manner in which the reference signal is sent to the terminal device on a reference signal resource or a reference signal resource set;
• and
• receiving, by the terminal device, the reference signal based on the interference randomization configuration information.
