Abstract
The present application discloses a method for cell handover, and devices, which can improve a success rate of cell handover based on a conditional trigger performed by a terminal device. The method includes: selecting, according to at least one piece of attribute information of each candidate target cell of at least one candidate target cell, a first target cell from the at least one candidate target cell, where the at least one piece of attribute information includes at least one of the following categories: priority information, weight information, signal quality, an available resource, and admission capability; and initiating random access to the first target cell to perform cell handover.
Claims20
A method for cell handover, comprising:
- selecting, according to at least one piece of attribute information of each candidate target cell of at least one candidate target cell, a first target cell from the at least one candidate target cell, wherein the at least one piece of attribute information comprises at least one of the following categories:
- priority information, weight information, signal quality, an available resource, and admission capability;
- and
- initiating random access to the first target cell to perform cell handover.
A terminal device, comprising:
- a processor and a memory, wherein the memory is configured to store a computer program, and the processor is configured to call and run the computer program stored in the memory to:
- select, according to at least one piece of attribute information of each candidate target cell of at least one candidate target cell, a first target cell from the at least one candidate target cell, wherein the at least one piece of attribute information comprises at least one of the following categories:
- priority information, weight information, signal quality, an available resource, and admission capability;
- and
- initiate random access to the first target cell to perform cell handover.
