A computer processing system for optimising a sequence of aircraft at an airport is disclosed. The system comprises a module (201) configured to receive flight plan data associated with a plurality of journeys between an origin and destination wherein each journey is associated with a different aircraft and wherein the flight plan data comprises flight schedule data associated with the plurality of different journeys; a second module (205) coupled to the first module wherein the second module is configured to determine an aircraft taxi time, EXOT, based on the flight plan data; a third module (203) coupled to the first module (201) and the second module (205) wherein the third module (203) is configured to determine a target take-off time, TTOT, associated with each of the plurality of different journeys wherein the target take-off time is determined based on the taxi time, EXOT, and the flight plan data.
A computer processing system for optimising a sequence of aircraft at an airport, the system comprising:
The computer processing system according to any preceding claim, wherein the third module (203) is further configured to associate the target take-off time for each journey with the flight plan data for each journey.
The computer processing system according to any preceding claim further comprising sending means for sending the flight plan data and the determined target start-up time for each journey to a further system.
The computer processing system according to any preceding claim wherein the third module (203) is further configured to determine a target start-up approval time, TSAT, based on the target take off time, TTOT, and preferably wherein the third module is configured to associate the target start-up time with the flight plan data for each journey.
The system of any preceding claim wherein the flight plan data comprises any one or more of data defining a target off-block time, data defining a runway, data defining a call sign, data defining an aircraft type, data defining an aircraft registration, data defining the origin and destination, data defining different time stamps, estimates, actual times for time stamps.
The system of any preceding claim, wherein the first module (201) or second module (205) is communicatively coupled to a system for generating or storing a plurality of flight plans and wherein the third module (203) is configured to associate a plurality of different flight plans with a plurality of different target take-off times for each journey and a plurality of different target start-up times for each journey.
The system of any preceding claim wherein the third module (203) is further configured to optimise a sequence of aircraft based on minimising a temporal separation between sequential aircraft determined based on an aircraft size, a departure route, different speed classes for each aircraft wherein a minimum temporal separation between sequential aircraft is selected based on whether the first aircraft in the sequence of aircraft is the same type or size as the second aircraft in the sequence of aircraft and wherein the separation is defined by the size of the aircraft.
The system of any preceding claim further comprising a user interface for providing access to accessing the data associated with each journey and preferably for accessing the flight plan data.
The system of any preceding claim further comprising a fourth module (113) for monitoring events associated with an aircraft turnaround process wherein the events preferably comprise an actual landing time, an actual in block time, the begin or end time for fueling.
The system of any preceding claim wherein the third module (203) is further configured to trigger one or more updates to an event associated with an aircraft based on the deviation between a target and actual times associated with a further, different event.
The system of any preceding claim comprising a fifth module (115) configured to optimise an aircraft de-icing process based on the aircraft type or/and preferably based on a determined location associated with the de-icing process.
The system of any preceding claim further comprising a further module (119) communicatively coupled to the third module (203) and wherein the further module is configured to determine an actual arrival and departure capacity of an airport and preferably wherein the capacity is determined based on any one or more of data defining weather conditions, and traffic demand and preferably wherein the further module (119) is configured to provide unidirectional data exchange between the third module (203) and the further module (119).
The system of any preceding claim wherein each of the modules are associated with a single data framework.
A computer processing system (101) for optimising a sequence of aircraft at an airport, the system comprising:
A method for executing the system of any preceding claim.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
