Method of determining split scheme, determining device, and computing system

A determining device comprising:

• at least one memory;
• and
• at least one processor configured to:
• calculate data related to data transfer time, for each combination of parallelization axes at respective layers of a hierarchical memory computer, based on data transfer methods, a size of a problem to be calculated, and communication bandwidths between the layers, the data transfer methods being determined by the parallelization axes, and the parallelization axes indicating how to split the problem;
• and
• determine a combination of the parallelization axes based on the data related to the data transfer time calculated for each combination of the parallelization axes.

A computing system comprising:

• at least one hierarchical memory computer;
• and
• at least one parallelization axes combination determining device,
• wherein the parallelization axes combination determining device includes:
• at least one memory;
• and
• at least one processor communicatively connected to the at least one memory;
• wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
• calculate data related to data transfer time, for each combination of parallelization axes at respective layers of the at least one hierarchical memory computer, based on data transfer methods, a size of a problem to be calculated, and communication bandwidths between the layers, the data transfer methods being determined by the parallelization axes, and the parallelization axes indicating how to split the problem;
• and
• determine a combination of the parallelization axes based on the data related to the data transfer time calculated for each combination of the parallelization axes.
