Abstract
This invention related to compounds having activity as muscarinic M1 or M1 and M4 receptor agonists which are useful in the treatment of diseases mediated by the muscarinic M1 and M4 receptors. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds and the therapeutic uses of the compounds. Compounds provided are of formula (I) where X1; X2; X3; X4; Y; Z; n, R1 and R2 are defined herein.

A compound of the formula (I):
- or a salt thereof, wherein:
- R1 is:
- n is 1, 2, 3 or 4;
- X1 is CH2 or O;
- Y is N or CH;
- X2 and X3 are saturated hydrocarbon groups which together contain a total of four to six carbon atoms and which link together such that the moiety:
- represents a monocyclic or bicyclic ring system;
- Z is CH2 or CO;
- X4 is CH2 or O;
- and R2 is F or H.
