Adaptive Rearview Mirror Adjustment Method and Apparatus

An adaptive rearview mirror adjustment apparatus, comprising:

• a memory configured to store instructions;
• and
• a processor coupled to the memory, wherein the instructions when executed by the processor cause the apparatus to:
• obtain a spatial position of a human eye of a driver of a current vehicle and a spatial position of a target rearview mirror of the current vehicle;
• obtain a view field of the driver in the target rearview mirror based on the spatial position of the human eye and the spatial position of the target rearview mirror;
• calculate a first auxiliary angle based on the view field, the spatial position of the human eye, and the position of the target rearview mirror;
• obtain an adjustment angle of the target rearview mirror based on the first auxiliary angle;
• and
• adjust an angle of the target rearview mirror based on the adjustment angle.

A computer program product comprising computer-executable instructions stored on a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium that when executed by a processor, cause an adaptive rearview mirror adjustment apparatus to:

• obtain a spatial position of a human eye of a driver of a current vehicle and a spatial position of a target rearview mirror of the current vehicle;
• obtain a view field of the driver in the target rearview mirror based on the spatial position of the human eye and the spatial position of the target rearview mirror;
• calculate a first auxiliary angle based on the view field, the spatial position of the human eye, and the position of the target rearview mirror;
• obtain an adjustment angle of the target rearview mirror based on the first auxiliary angle;
• and
• adjust an angle of the target rearview mirror based on the adjustment angle.
