-21. (canceled)
A syringe body holder comprising:
- a handle configured to be hung on a support;
- a body connected to the handle and having a central opening for receiving a barrel of a syringe body, the body having an upper frustoconical wall portion and a lower annular wall portion for receiving the syringe body barrel therethrough, the body configured to keep the syringe body upright with the handle hung on the support;
- and
- an alignment portion extending laterally from a portion of the upper frustoconical wall portion and located above the lower annular wall portion, the alignment portion forming a pocket for receiving a projection of the syringe body to inhibit the syringe body from rotating within the central opening of the body.
A method for administering a solution, the method comprising:
- positioning a syringe body having a frustoconical collar portion and a barrel portion in a central opening of a body of a holder having an upper frustoconical wall portion for supporting the frustoconical collar portion of the syringe body, a lower annular wall portion for receiving the barrel portion of the syringe body therethrough, and an alignment portion comprising a pocket extending laterally from a portion of the upper frustoconical wall portion and located above the lower annular wall portion;
- aligning a projection of the syringe body with the pocket;
- and
- hanging the handle on a structure.
A system for administering a solution, the system comprising:
- a syringe body including a collar and a barrel;
- at least one projection of the syringe body;
- a handle configured to be hung on a support;
- a holder body connected to the handle and having a central opening sized to receive the syringe body, the body having an upper frustoconical wall portion and a lower annular wall portion for receiving the syringe body barrel therethrough, the body configured to keep the syringe body upright with the handle hung on the support;
- and
- an alignment portion extending laterally from a portion of the upper frustoconical wall portion and located above the lower annular wall portion, comprising a pocket for receiving a projection of the syringe body to inhibit the syringe body from rotating within the central opening of the body.
A syringe for receiving a formulated food solution, the syringe having a body, the body comprising:
- a collar comprising an upper opening for receiving the formulated food solution, the collar comprising a rim, a frustoconical wall extending radially inward from the rim, and a first upper tab extending laterally outwardly from the rim;
- a barrel extending from a lower portion of the collar, the barrel comprising an annular side wall and a first lower tab extending laterally outwardly from the side wall;
- and a tip at an end of the barrel opposite the collar, the tip being configured to connect to a tube.
