The present invention provides compositions and methods of their use in treating muscular dystrophy and other disorders.
Claims11
A method of delaying the development of muscle weakness or improving muscle function in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of ribitol, wherein the subject has a loss-of-function mutation in a fukutin-related protein (FKRP) gene.
The method of claim. 2, wherein the method comprises administering ribitol to the subject for at least 1 month.
The method of claim. 1, wherein the subject has been diagnosed with Muscle-Eye-Brain disease.
