Abstract
Provided herein are pharmaceutical compositions comprising a class of calcium channel blockers and at least one chelating agent. More specifically, the pharmaceutical compositions comprise at least one 1,4-dihydropyridine (DHP) compound and at least one chelating agent. The chelating agents used in this disclosure can decrease the degradation of the constituent DHPs of the DHP compositions. The DHP compositions can be used to treat cardiovascular disorders and are more stable for prolonged periods of time.

A sterile composition comprising at least one 1,4-dihydropyridine compound and at least one chelating agent in a container.
A method of treating at least one cardiovascular disorder in a human in need thereof, the method comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising at least one 1,4-dihydropyridine compound and at least one chelating agent.
A method of preparing a stable composition of at least one 1,4-dihydropyridine compound, the method comprising providing at least one chelating agent and mixing the chelating agent with the at least one 1,4-dihydropyridine compound to form the stable composition.
