Abstract
A technique for geospatial tracking includes receiving live video from a first source, rendering a map that encompasses a geographical region imaged by the live video, and displaying the map along with the live video, thereby enabling a human user or computer to associate objects in the video with geographical features on the map. The technique further includes receiving geotagged content from a second source and displaying a representation of the geotagged content along with the video and the map.
Claims20
A method of performing collaborative geospatial tracking, comprising:
- receiving, by a computing device, (i) live video from a first source and (ii) geotagged content from a second source;
- providing a map that encompasses a geographical region imaged by the live video;
- and
- simultaneously displaying, by the computing device, the map, the live video, and a representation of the geotagged content from the second source.
A computing device, comprising control circuitry that includes a set of processors coupled to memory, the control circuitry constructed and arranged to:
- receive (i) live video from a first source and (ii) geotagged content from a second source;
- provide a map that encompasses a geographical region imaged by the live video;
- and
- simultaneously display the map, the live video, and a representation of the geotagged content from the second source.
A computer program product including a set of non-transitory, computer-readable media having instructions which, when executed by control circuitry of a computing device, cause the computing device to perform a method collaborative geospatial tracking, the method comprising:
- receiving, by a computing device, (i) live video from a first source and (ii) geotagged content from a second source;
- providing a map that encompasses a geographical region imaged by the live video;
- and
- simultaneously displaying, by the computing device, the map, the live video, and a representation of the geotagged content from the second source.
