A dosage form selected from:
- a suckable lozenge, a pastille, or a masticatable gum, which dosage form provides for the slow delivery within the oral cavity of a person suffering from an upper respiratory illness, the dosage form comprising 1-30 mg of flurbiprofen or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, which is slowly released directly onto mucous membrane of the throat of the person in need of treatment for a dry cough.
