Abstract

A cooling system includes a control device, an ice water unit, a cooling tower, and an ice water storage tank. The ice water unit, the ice water storage tank, and the data center are coupled through a pipeline. According to a first condition, the ice water unit provides cooling water to the data center. According to a second condition, the ice water unit provides cooling water to the data center and the ice water storage tank. According to a third condition, the ice water storage tank provides cooling water to the data center and the ice water unit refills cooling water to the ice water storage tank, and heated water of the data center flows to the ice water unit.

Dependent claims

A cooling system comprising:

a control device;
and
an emergency cooling system comprising an ice water unit, a cooling tower, and at least one ice water storage tank;
wherein:
the ice water unit and the cooling tower are coupled through at least one pipeline for heat transfer;
the ice water unit, the at least one ice water storage tank, and a data center are coupled through the at least one pipeline;
according to a first condition, the control device controls the ice water unit to provide cooling water to the data center;
according to a second condition, the control device controls the ice water unit to provide cooling water to the data center and the at least one ice water storage tank;
and
according to a third condition, the control device controls the at least one ice water storage tank to provide cooling water to the data center and the ice water unit to refill cooling water to the at least one ice water storage tank, and causes heated water of the data center to flow to the ice water unit.

determining whether the cooling system is under a first condition, a second condition, or a third condition;
when the cooling system is under the first condition, controlling the ice water unit to provide cooling water to the data center;
when the cooling system is under the second condition, controlling the ice water unit to provide cooling water to the data center and the at least one ice water storage tank;
and
when the cooling system is under the third condition, controlling the at least one ice water storage tank to provide cooling water to the data center and the ice water unit to refill cooling water to the at least one ice water storage tank.
