## Abstract

A method for processing disputes in a multi-tenant architecture system includes receiving, at a first service provider, a dispute request from a second service provider that manages entity identities of a plurality of customers. The dispute request indicates a disputed transaction between a customer of the plurality of customers and another entity. The method includes accessing an identity manager to determine a customer representation, the identity manager previously onboarded the plurality of customers as a plurality of customer representations. The identity manager is hosted by the first service provider that manages customer representations corresponding to entity identities of the customers. The dispute request is propagated with the customer representation to a dispute management engine that determines an outcome for the dispute, the determination based on characteristics of the disputed transaction and on characteristics of the customer. The method also includes propagating the determination to the second service provider.

## Claims

### Claim 1

(canceled)

### Claim 2

A method for using unified identity services in a multi-tenant architecture system, the method comprising:
onboarding a new service provider onto a multi-tenant platform, the multi-tenant platform managing, at least using a hierarchical data structure, representations of service providers and respective representations of their entities, the new service provider managing user identity of a user, the multi-tenant platform managing a first provider representation of a first service provider, the first service provider configured to provide a transaction service to users, the onboarding creating a new provider representation of the new service provider in the hierarchical data structure; and
responsive to the onboarding of the new service provider, providing a validity service for determining validity of transactions, initiated via the transaction service, between a merchant entity managed by the first service provider and the user managed by the new service provider.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein the onboarding further comprises:
creating a linked identity reference accessible by the new service provider representation; and
providing access, via the linked identity reference in the hierarchical data structure, to services of the new service provider to the merchant entity managed by the first service provider.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, further comprising:
receiving, at the new service provider, a validity service request from the user, the validity service request indicating a disputed transaction between the user and the merchant;
propagating the validity service request with a customer representation at the multi-tenant platform to a dispute management engine that determines an outcome for the validity service, the determination based on characteristics of the disputed transaction and on characteristics of the user; and
propagating the determination to the first service provider.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The method of claim 4, further comprising:
accessing an identity manager to determine the customer representation of the user, the identity manager hosted by the multi-tenant architecture system that manages customer representations corresponding to entity identities of a plurality of users, including the user, of the new service provider.

### Claim 6 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, further comprising:
accessing an activity manager to access at least a copy of a disputed transaction between the user and the merchant entity at the first service provider.

### Claim 7 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, further comprising:
determining validity of a disputed transaction based, at least in part, on accessing a risk service provided by the first service provider, the risk service providing risk determination services for at least the user via a user representation of the user at the hierarchical data structure.

### Claim 8 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein said onboarding the new service provider comprises determining dispute related policies and capabilities to be modeled by multi-tenant platform.

### Claim 9 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, further comprising:
providing a callback communication to the first service provider during a determination of validity of a transaction to indicate propagation of a validity service request from the user, the validity service request indicating a disputed transaction between the merchant entity and the user.

### Claim 10

A system comprising:
a non-transitory memory storing instructions; and
a processor configured to execute the instructions to cause the system to:
responsive to onboarding of a new service provider onto a multi-tenant platform, provide access to the new service provider, the multi-tenant platform managing, at least using a hierarchical data structure, representations of service providers and respective representations of their entities, the new service provider managing user identity of a user, the multi-tenant platform managing a first provider representation of a first service provider, the providing the access to the new service provider comprising providing transaction services to users of one or more tenants of the multi-tenant platform including users of the first service provider, the onboarding creating a new provider representation of the new service provider in the hierarchical data structure; and
responsive to receiving a validity service request from the user, determine validity of a transaction indicated by the validity service request, the transaction initiated via the transaction service between a merchant entity managed by the first service provider and the user managed by the new service provider.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein the onboarding comprises:
creating a linked identity reference accessible by the new service provider representation; and
providing access, via the linked identity reference in the hierarchical data structure, to services of the new service provider to the merchant entity managed by the first service provider.

### Claim 12 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein determining validity of the transaction comprises propagating the validity service request with a customer representation at the multi-tenant platform to a dispute management engine that determines the validity of the transaction, the determination based on characteristics of the transaction and on characteristics of the user, wherein the validity determination is propagated to the first service provider.

### Claim 13 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein executing the instructions further cause the system to,
access an identity manager to determine a user representation of the user, the identity manager hosted by the multi-tenant platform and managing customer representations corresponding to entity identities of a plurality of users, including the user, of the new service provider.

### Claim 14 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein determining validity of the transaction is based, at least in part, on accessing a risk service provided by the first service provider, the risk service providing risk determination services for at least the user via a user representation of the user at the hierarchical data structure.

### Claim 15 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein executing the instructions further cause the system to,
provide a callback communication to the first service provider during a determination of validity of a transaction to indicate propagation of a validity service request from the user, the validity service request indicating a disputed transaction between the merchant entity and the user.

### Claim 16

A non-transitory machine-readable medium having instructions stored thereon, the instructions executable to cause performance of operations comprising:
