## Abstract

A protective face mask has a first panel, a second panel and a plurality of head attachment features. The first panel is configured to cover the facial area below the eyes with a mouth opening for the mouth region to allow the wearer to eat, drink or smoke. The second panel is configured to cover the mouth opening when not used for passing food, drink or smoking. The plurality of head attachment features are located at outer edges of the face mask panels.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A protective face mask comprising:
a first panel configured to cover the facial area below the eyes with a mouth opening for the mouth region to allow a wearer to eat, drink or smoke;
a second panel for covering the mouth opening when not passing food, drink or smoking; and
a plurality of head attachment features at outer edges of the face mask panels.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The protective face mask of claim 1 wherein the second panel is attached with hook and loop faster means to the first panel covering the mouth opening.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The protective face mask of claim 2 wherein the second panel can be partially detached from the first panel at the top or bottom and sides and folded up or down respectively and held to the first panel to uncover the mouth opening.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The protective face mask of claim 1 wherein the second panel is attached at one side near the mouth opening and covers the first panel completely when the head attachment features on an opposite side are secured to the wearer.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The protective face mask of claim 1 wherein the second panel is attached at one side of the first panel and covers the first panel completely when the head attachment features on an opposite side are secured to the wearer.
